Location
The beach is located on the outskirts of the Agios Georgios district in Peia. And if you drive on this road for another 2 km, you will get to the Avakas Gorge.
Opposite the observation deck, where there are several information boards, there is a small flat area, serving as parking. Parking coordinates – 34.912723, 32.327044. Almost in the middle of the road, between them, there is a small tavern.

About the beach
The descent from the parking lot is very peculiar. There is no normal staircase here, and these boards are not as stable as it may seem at first glance. Therefore, it is best to go slowly, look under your feet and, hold on to the stones , if it’s possible. I slipped a little lower once, and my leg passed a few centimeters while I tried to restore balance – it was scary.

Pebble beach is spacious, but at the same time very cozy. The stones are large enough near and in the water. but they gradually become smaller, turning into pebble sand. Sometimes the sea throws out a huge amount of algae, forming on the stones something like a large soft cover 8-10 cm thick, which goes 5 m deep into the beach.

Tourists on this beach love to make cairns. Most often, when building these pyramids, people make wishes. And someone makes them just for a souvenir photo. In any case, there are still many stones on the beach, so you can always improve this small stone garden with your composition.

From the parking lot to the sea there is another path. At first it may seem that there will be another beach with good entry into the water, but this is not at all the case. The coastline is a hilly rock with peaks and depressions, along which it is very difficult to even walk normally to the sea, and you can also ruin your shoes on these ledges. But it also offers beautiful views of the coast, so once you can walk.
