The Cannaviu Reservoir was formed in 2005 as a result of the construction of the dam of the same name. The body of water is located in the Paphos area, 4 km from the village of Cannaviou on the E703 road.

The dam, 75 m high and 565 m long, was built of stone and concrete from 2000 to 2006.

On the dam travel by car is prohibited, so it will have to be left in the parking lot in front of the entrance or somewhere on the primer, right or left of the reservoir, and here already come on foot.

Along the reservoir is a dirt road with several exits, so you will definitely choose for yourself the landscape you like. Grounding is periodically cleared of collapsed stones and soil, but do not expect that it will be in perfect condition. First of all, focus on the possibilities of your car.

The reservoir is allowed to fish only if licensed. On Saturday, we saw about a dozen fishermen.

One of the streams that feed the pond.
On the opposite bank of platinum is a small chapel of St. George.
